Ganesh Chaturthi is a Hindu festival celebrating the birth of Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed deity of wisdom and prosperity. Observed with great enthusiasm, especially in Maharashtra and other parts of India.
The celebration begins with the installation of Ganesha idols in homes and public spaces. On the final day, known as Anant Chaturdashi, the idols are taken in grand processions to water bodies and immersed, symbolizing the deity’s return to his divine abode.
